The Area

Situated in South Devon, the South Hams is an area of outstanding beauty which nestles between the Dart and Plym estuaries.  With quaint, picture postcard villages, coupled with some truly outstanding coastline and countryside, the South Hams is a destination with a difference.

Salcombe is one of Devon’s Southernmost resorts, almost at the mouth of the Kingsbridge estuary and reachable by road, sea or a ferry along the river (during the summer months).

Once a small fishing village, Salcombe is now an established and popular tourist destination, made particularly famous for its exceptional sailing.  On a hot summers day, the calm waters will be strewn with pleasure craft making the most of the beautiful river and coastline.

The mix of a quaint town centre with local, boutique shops, coupled with hillsides dotted with villas that overlook the river, Salcombe offers a touch a romance and uniqueness rarely found.

Further along the coast, the popular town of Dartmouth is also enjoying a booming leisure industry with its cobbled streets, art galleries and the riverside walk leading out to Dartmouth Castle.

One of the capital towns of the South Hams, Totnes, is also well worth a visit and is becoming increasing famous as a centre for the ‘new age’ crowd, due largely to its mellow feel and generally relaxing atmosphere that you experience upon a visit to the town.

Whether you are looking for an action packed event with golf, fishing, cycling, watersports, air sports, clay pigeon shooting, or walking – or a relaxing treat filled with a weekend of decadent pampering, we’d be happy to help make your event every bit the success you want it to be!
